Summary of Tol'dot:

The story of Yitz'chak and Rivkeh continues with her becoming pregnant with twins. Ya'akov and Esav battle even in the womb, indicating two nations within her. Esav becomes a skilled hunter, while Ya'akov tends to stay home. Ya'akov favors Esav, while Rivkeh favors Ya'akov, and so does God. One day Esav sells his birthright to Ya'akov for a bowl of soup. Yitz'chak settles in G'rar, and as follows in his father's footsteps by passing off his wife as his sister, only to have to tell the truth to Avimelekh, king of the P'lishtim because of it. Yitz'chak became successful. Yitz'chak open up wells made by Avraham and built new ones. This caused enmity between him and the P'lishtim who claimed the water was theirs. (some things new change) God reiterated his promise of blessing to him and his descendants. Yitz'chak and Avimelekh formed a covenant of peace and they went on their way. Later, as Yitz'chak became old and nearly blind, Rivkeh Has Ya'akov wear fur and makes food to trick Yitz'chak into giving Ya'akov a blessing he intended for Esav. This causes further enmity between the two brothers as Esav vows to kill Ya'akov after his father's death. Rivkeh tells Ya'akov to flee to safety with the family of their relative Lavan. He does this also to find a wife by order of Yitz'chak. Meanwhile, Esav took wives from the women of the Kena'ani.
