Summary of B'resheet:
In the parshah we have the initial account of the entirety of Creation. In six days he did all his work of creation, and on the seventh day He rested, providing the foundation for our Sabbath rest. In the second chapter, we have a second and separate (I believe) account of the creation of Gan Eden (Garden of Eden), and Adam and Havah (Eve). In the third chapter, the serpent decieves Havah and both Adam and Havah sin. This sin was attributed to all humanity, only to be finally atoned for by the second Adam, Yeshua. (1Corinthians 15:45-47) Adam and Havah are cast from the Garden. In chapter 4, Kayin (Cain) kills his brother Hevel (Abel), the first murder in the Bible. Chapter 5 provides a geneology of Adam. Chapter 6 sets the stage for the story of Noach, by describing the level of sin the world fell into.
